Get yer will [to power] on, Jeeves!

I'm still officially on hiatus from "here," but I had to note this so as, I hope, to be able to process this more fully: on The Writer's Almanac this morning, I learned that today is the birthday of both Friedrich Nietzsche and P. G. Wodehouse . . . surely polar opposites of some sort of continuum, no? Or maybe not?

Soon to come: commentary on Issa Bagayogo and Smile.

You might think so, but surely this is a Nietzschean sentiment if ever there was one:

"The fascination of shooting as a sport depends almost wholly on whether you are at the right or wrong end of the gun."

And the following wouldn't look out of place in the Wodehouse:

"Is not life a hundred times too short for us to bore ourselves?"
