"Show us your plumb-bobs!"
Given the name of this blog, it is entirely appropriate to inform its readers that next week is National Surveyors' Week. And the title for the post exhausts just about all my knowledge of surveying, hence the brevity of the post proper.
But hey. Any excuse for a party.
A more substantive, hoop-headed, post is (still) forthcoming.

I keep reading that title as 'Show us your plums, Bob'.
I don't know if you're aware of this, but in my speech community, 'plums' is a common euphemism for testicles.
Or perhaps that was a deliberate pun...?
