A stretch of river XVII: Nature

Urban parks are not exactly the embodiment of John-Muir-among-the-redwoods Nature; that odd gleam at the base of a tree that you might see in the predawn light is less likely to be a bit of phosphorescence, more likely to be a reflection off a beer can that someone had seen fit to place there instead of the quite large, quite empty trash bin not 20 feet away from that same tree.

It appears that another sort of nature is on display here.
