Public space and religion, Part IV

In keeping with the theme of public space in the post below . . .
My long-time readers know that I've posted here several times in the past about religion within the context of American public space. Now comes NPR with a multi-part series on this very topic that began yesterday. The pieces I've heard are thoughtful; best of all, they give lots of speaking space to the very sorts of people these pieces are about. What we think about what they have to say is, of course, another matter; but what is important is that we're given the chance to hear from these people in their own words, as opposed to characterizations of their language.
