Blogger's Choice Awards

UPDATE (June 29): Though you still have to register before you can vote, clicking on the badge in the right gutter will now take you directly to my blog's page at Blogger's Choice. Thanks to those who have voted and those who tried . . . and even if you don't want to vote, thank you for visiting here.

Before you go clicking away at that little badge over there in the right gutter, you need to know some things:

Clicking merely takes you to the Awards' homepage. From there, you have to

1) register before you can vote or nominate other blogs;

2) remember that my blog is in the "Best Blog about Stuff" category;

3) then hunt, hunt, hunt for my blog to vote for it (blogs are listed in descending order in terms of numbers of votes, then, among the scores and scores of blogs with just a few votes apiece, alphabetically).

It's a pain, in other words, and I have no idea what the point is, unless it's to prevent ballot stuffing . . . or to prevent all but the blogs with large readerships from winning.

I say all this by way of letting you know that if you choose to vote for this blog anyway, I'll be truly grateful. You do, after all, have better ways to spend the good 5-10 minutes it'll take to do so.

UPDATE: Or (he says, a bit embarrassed, you can just go here . . .

Correct, it was a lot of hassle.

Well, I tried. It would not accept my login. After 4 attempts I gave up. Maybe their login password validation server burped or something. But if it is the thought that matters, then you win anyway...

Thanks to all of you--and, yes indeed, Winston: the thought indeed counts.
