Flying, the heron's
feet punctuate the water:
An ellipsis trail.

I usually do not like haikus but this one is very nice.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is the first haiku in the Stretch of River series. You might have to make them a regular feature.

This one is lovely...Thoreau would approve.
