Trouble commenting?
How presumptuous of me to ask . . . except that I can't leave comments on my own blog. A little reading around in Blogger's help forum reveals that I'm not alone in this.
I can only assume that it'll get cleared up sometime.

Bonnie, the flakiness of Blogger's comments function--in particular the word verification thing--is one of this platform's limitations. Flakiness is good in pie but not in softwares. Its sole virtue is that it filters out almost all spam from comments, but that virtue is clearly something of a liability when it causes some like you to just give up on commenting.
It's cold comfort, I know, but you are far from alone in this.
